About this piece
Cut from flat bar rather than tube, so the base reads as a drawing from the front and almost disappears from the end. The four legs cross on a welded central web, which is the part that stops the whole thing folding, and above it the arms run out long and are slotted rather than drilled round: a wide top can move a little with the seasons without splitting against a fixed bolt. Wide at the floor, narrow where knees go.
Wipe with a dry cloth. Touch up a chip before it has a chance to rust.
